The Aprilaire 700 Humidifier Review comes clean: this is one of the best humidifiers out there. We often underestimate the quality of the air that we breathe. Sometimes, we overlook the fact that the ratio of the component that form the air around us is messed up. In winters, the moisture normally present in our houses drops dramatically to a low level.
This causes extreme dryness. Dry air can cause a lot of unwanted effects. It gives you a dry throat, dry hair, dry cracking lips, etc. It can also affect your wooden furniture, antiques, indoor plants, etc. It also worsens allergies, asthma and snoring. To overcome the problems of dry air, and air humidifier must be used. I strongly recommend the Aprilaire 700 Humidifier as it is the best humidifier I have used.

What is humidification?
It is the process of incorporating moisture in air. It is one of the important things needed for indoor comfort. The importance of humidity in protecting your family and furniture has increased in the past few years that so many builder’s install a fixed humidifiers in the homes they build.
What is relative humidity?
Relative humidity is the ratio between the amount of moisture the air holds to the amount of moisture the air can hold. The RH that we hear on the radio or see in TV is the RH outside. In winter, when heaters are used, the RH indoors is much lower than that outside. This causes condensation which is one of the main reasons for mold growth.
Effects of dry air
Dry air steals moisture from the surrounding environment which, in your house, is you, your family members and your furniture. Signs of too dry air are:
Cracking, dull, wooden furniture
Withering indoor plants
Excessive static electricity
Cracking oil paintings
Worn out wallpaint
Effects of humidification
Relief of nasal congestion
Protects wooden furniture

Do I have to deal with mold growing inside this humidifier?
No. Aprilaire 700 Humidifier is designed to prevent any microbial growth. For mold to grow, there must be a source of food and a medium to grown in (mostly in standing water). None of the constituents on this humidifier is edible to mold and it contains a draining system that gets rid of excess water throw a drain at the bottom o the humidifier which prevents the presence of standing water.
Will this humidifier keep running and over-humidify my house?
No. If the humidity in your air exceeds 45% this humidifier will stop running. This happens because this is the maximum amount of humidity any humidifier can reach.
How does this humidifier work?
This humidifier attracts water from a water source and turns it into water vapor. This humidifier aims to keep the indoor humidity at 35% all the time. The function of this device depends on the heating time of your HVAC system. If the HVAC system is not running, your humidifier is not running. Water that enters the humidifier is changed to water vapor at the water panel evaporator. The air coming from the HVAC system also goes to the evaporator where is obtains moisture and then diffuses into your house, making the air moist and hydrated. Excess water that does not take part in this process is excreted by the device through a drainage system to avoid standing water.
