The unit has worked extremely well, and is one of the best investments I have made. The window air conditioner is perfect of small rooms. Unlike other air conditioners like those from Danby, the unit is good for areas of about 350 sq. ft. This is more than sufficient for most households.
The cooling is excellent, and the unit is very energy efficient, with a high EER rating. I used the unit for close to 18 hours a day, even with a PC and small refrigerator in the bedroom that radiated heat.
The SPT WA-8011S also conditions the air with R420A, an environmentally-friendly refrigerant that is very healthy. It also comes with timer technology that allows you to control when the device will turn or off, and comes with the ability to turn on sleep mode. This ensures you can control the temperature even while you sleep – the air conditioner can automatically increase the temperature while you sleep. The WA-8011S also has very easy to use controls, and is an outstanding product in many ways.

With the WA-8011S you do not need to worry about your utilities bills even in the summer. It has an Energy Efficiency Ratio of up to 10.8, one of the highest we have seen in the industry. The SPT WA-8011S comes with an energy saving mode, which automatically turns the fan on and off. Thus, the room stays at the desired temperature, with a little power consumption, all day long. Moreover, the two way air conditioning feature allows you to concentrate the air on the areas which need it the most. According to the manufacturer, your estimated annual operating cost will be less than $60.

The SPT WA-8011S is Energy Star qualified. This means that it does not emit greenhouse gasses and meets the strict U.S. Environment Protection Agency and the U.S Department of Energy energy efficiency standards. It uses the eco-friendly R420A refrigerant, an anti-ozone depleting refrigerant.
